Tons of Smiles at 2nd Annual Adaptive Ski Day at Lake Quinsigamond!

We had such a great time at our Lake Quinsigamond Adaptive Ski Day event on Friday, June 24th as 25 members of our disabled community came out to join us for an amazing day on the water.     THANK YOU to our amazing volunteers, including members from the Aqua Riders of Holland and the Quinsigamond Water Ski Club for coming to help us out!

SwaterSki raised over $12,000 for Webster Dudley Food Share and National Brain Tumor Society

The 2nd Annual SwaterSki event to benefit the National Brain Tumor Society and Webster Dudley Food Bank was held on Saturday, December 4th 2021 at Point Breeze Marina and Wachusett Mountain.   The water ski portion started at 10am and ran to noon and saw over 16 skiers brave the 39 degree water and 33 degree air temps – many wearing various costumes and despite the cold, all with smiles on their faces!

SHREWSBURY, Mass. – People of all ages were out on the water Tuesday thanks to an adaptive water skiing event on Lake Quinsigamond.

The “Any Age, Any Disability” water skiing event took place at the Donahue Rowing Center in Shrewsbury. 

The event gave kids and adults with disabilities a chance to try water skiing with trained instructors. For some, it was their first time.

WCVB’s Seri Congi came out to our “Any Age – Any Disability” Adaptive Ski Event at Lake Quinsigamond on August 17, 2021.

Webster Five Donates $2,500 to Webster Water Ski Collective

(July 29, 2021) Webster, MA – The Webster Five Foundation has announced that as part of the Web of Caring to Make a Difference program, it has donated $2,500 to Webster Water Ski Collective. WEBSTER – Santa and his elves, Frosty the Snowman and even the Grinch all came out to tread water Saturday on Webster Lake, all for a good cause.

Hosted by the Webster Water Ski Collective, Foxy Travel, Point Breeze, Wachusett Mountain Ski Area and the Menard family, the inaugural “SwaterSki to Fight Cancer” attracted 30 water skiers, many suited up in holiday garb.

Charlton resident Ryan DesRoches has been water skiing for almost 30 years, and has had many exhilarating runs on local lakes and ponds, but few compared to the experience he had last summer while volunteering with the Leaps of Faith Adaptive Skiers.
